Step by Step Practice

  1. Settle comfortably. Sit or lie down, relax your shoulders, soften your jaw, and let your eyes rest.

  2. Take three calm breaths. Inhale slowly through your nose, exhale longer than you inhale.

  3. Body scan. From head to toes, invite ease into any areas of tension.

  4. Choose an anchor. It could be your breath, the rise and fall of your chest, or the gentle contact between your body and the ground.

  5. Observe quietly. Let thoughts pass like clouds in a vast sky. Notice them, then return to your anchor without judgment.

  6. Rest in the gap. Sense the stillness between two breaths or between two thoughts. Allow it to widen naturally.

  7. Soften the heart. Silently whisper: “I allow quiet to guide me.”

  8. Close gently. Take two deeper breaths. Place your hand on your heart and notice the peaceful silence within you.
